Ruth Roman
Ruth Roman, 75, who was known for her enthralling mix of sexiness, purity and stardom in the 1950s and 1940s in Hollywood was pronounced dead on Thursday in her Laguna Beach, Calif. house. Richard Hall, her son confirmed her death while sleeping. Warner Brothers gave Hall nine main roles, all in less than two years following her debut as Kirk Douglas, in Stanley Kramer's 1949 film adaptation Ring Lardner's short story, Champion which is about a professional athlete who has a psychotic inclination. In less than a day her appearance, she went from appearing in a scene with Bette in 'Beyond the Forest' to starring alongside Milton Berle for 'Always Keep Them Laughing'. After the conclusion of the film ''Strangers on a train'' opposite Robert Walker, she was taken to ''Tomorrow is Another Day'' with Steve Cochran.
