Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is the daughter of the mixed race family of South London in England. She has a father who is Nigerian and Swiss as well as her mother is English. She went to The Brit School when she was 14 years old. She received her Bachelor of Arts in acting at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. While at school she appeared in a variety of stage productions including King Henry V's princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe's acting journey began in the series Storm Damage. In the years since, Madekwe has appeared in Teachers as well as Doctors. Madekwe made her debut motion picture in the 2007 Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. In the wake of that film's success, she played Elisha in the one-off BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN which aired in 2007 and she also appeared in six episodes of Trexx and Flipside playing Ollie. Also, the ITV2 drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl featured her in the year 2008 as Bambi. Madekwe starred in the Comedy film How to Lose Friends & Affect People. She was also on the screen in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path, directed by David Watson.
Madekwe debuted in the US with The Beautiful Life. The drama show was telecast at The CW for only two episodes, before it was removed from the air. Ashley Davenport, a character in ABC's Revenge drama series, was cast as Ashley Davenport. In late May 2013, it was announced that Madekwe, who appeared on the show as a series regular for the previous two seasons had decided to quit the show with a guest appearance on the premiere episode of the season's new episode. The actress played Tituba in the TV series Salem from 2014 to. Madekwe got married to her long-time lover, Iddo. Alongside Secret Diary of a Call Girl they also appeared in tandem on Salem and Iddo Goldberg had an appearance with her on that show.
Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into the extended family of a huge, large. She was raised by both parents Roy and Patty together with four of their older brothers: Brett, Todd and Bram twins, Rob, and Brett. Ashley's brothers were all extremely athletic and played baseball and hockey throughout the summer and winter. They grew up playing stadiums and played baseball. Ashley could not walk but was able to dance. As a result, when she turned 2, she discovered Baby Ballet. Ashley became passionate about dance immediately after that. After graduating from high school, Ashley danced competitively in the highest divisions of ballet, tap, jazz and pointe as well as acrobatics, musical theatre, lyrical, and hip hop. In addition, she won the top awards for soloists in every major dance contests, like the International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance among others.
